An Addictive Codename

A true story about the hardest problem in software engineering

As that new framework was codename Glass, and we followed that theme and gave out software the codename Crystal for short, or Crystal Math in full.

As it was far from finished, that rewritten software couldn't run by itself, so we wrote a tool to run what lines of code that were ready, and we named that tool Lines.

My team was quite productive, everyone crackin' hard and running Lines of Crystal Math all day long. Or at least we did until management found out, and insisted we replace those codenames with less addictive ones.
